Learn Silver Swimming Lessons: Advancing Skills and Introducing Breaststroke

Our Learn Silver level is designed to take your child’s swimming lessons and abilities to the next stage. At this point in their journey, we focus on refining existing skills, increasing swimming endurance, and introducing the foundational techniques for breaststroke. This level also marks an exciting milestone... your child’s first dive practice!

Key Skills at the Silver Level:

• Introduction to Breaststroke: Teaching the fundamental movements of this stroke with an emphasis on correct technique to avoid long-term habits that can be challenging to correct later.

• Swimming  with Confidence: Encouraging unaided swimming, focusing on frontcrawl  and backcrawl with effective technique over distances of up to 15 meters.

• Streamline Progression: Practicing push-offs in a streamline position on both the front and back to improve efficiency on all strokes

• Water Safety and Basic Diving: Jumping into the deep end of the pool and swimming to safety independently, alongside learning the basics of a sitting dive.

• Stroke Refinement: Continued development of frontcrawl and back crawl techniques to build strength, endurance, and efficiency.

At this level, our instructors aim to reduce the amount of physical assistance provided, helping children gain confidence in their abilities and preparing them for more advanced classes.

Class Options and Structure:
We offer both group and private lessons tailored to your child’s needs. Group lessons maintain a small class size, with a maximum ratio of 4:1, ensuring personalised guidance and plenty of practice opportunities.
